One day trip to 1U with college friends on parent lecturer day

Tarc 40th anniversary

Awaking with my arms hugging onto my pillow, I opened my eyes. Then, my hands ware busy searching for my hand phone. A few seconds later, I grabed the icy cold object and looked into the bright screen in search of the time. It was 10am in the morning. Yawning with my eyes closed again, I placed my hand phone at the cover of my bed. I stretched my body to pull myself up. (Fast Forward)

At around half pass three, I was getting ready to pack and left at 4pm. I arrived at JJ’s condominium at 5pm. Then he handed me a grey and shiny dress for a change. (Fast Forward)

Heavy grey clouds covered the sky as we walked to Kok Loong’s car. He drove us to Lai’s home for final make up. I tied my hair at his house while JJ was ironing his cloth. We took some photos after we were done. Then, yumi arrived and she was shocked that I didn’t wear her pinkish dress… well~ long story! 5 of us got into kok loong’s car as it begin to drizzle. We picked Khee Yan up at the bus stop. (Fast Forward)

In the half filled hall, we headed to out seats. It wasn't as cold as we thought it would be! The performances were fantastic! We enjoyed it! However, we were starving, as they did not provide food! T-T! After the cake cutting ceremony, we went to a Chinese food store near Pei ler’s and Khee yan’s condominium for “Dinner”!

I've changed for the better!

It’s undeniable that the people I’ve met in college have changed my life for the better! I was furious when I was told to take STPM for the sake of scholarship!! Well, I didn’t have a choice! I really need this scholarship to achieve my ambition! At the very beginning of this course, I’d been lonely. ! I didn’t want to travel so far to college everyday because I thought I would be suffering through out sptm… but then; they’ve made me realize that I’m not a lone! They’ve changed my thoughts! Because of their jokes that make me laugh more often, I don’t have to be depressing like how I used to be! Because of their willingness to teach, I’ve learned a lot! Because of them, I’m no longer who I used to be! Thank you!

college life!

Many things had happen! I started schooling 3 weeks ago at TAR College! Never in the past have I expected this to happen! ---taking STPM in a college! Well, I do wonder why must I travel miles everyday for a course, which I can just pick up here in pj! Have I lost my mind or something? I wish the colleges in Malaysia offered Astronomy in diploma or as a foundation course! So I don’t have to waste my time on unnecessary courses! These thoughts kept flashing in my mind, turning my happiness into anger! For the 1st week of school, heavy grey clouds surrounded me! But it had been cleared since last Friday!

The school of pre-U offered a game called “ Human Monopoly” on the 22nd of may! Pei Ler who is our class rep (class representative) / widely known as class monitor, suggested that we all “ponteng” lectures to get involve in this game! And…most of us agreed! But many did not turn up on that particular day!

Rule of the game: form a group of nine and choose the name, which was written on a cloth pasted on the wooden floor in the sport complex!

YELLOW TURTLE … was selected amount 50 different names! The best thing was that all nine of us are classmates (class 10s1a), led by our class rep and also our group coordinator! At twenty pass ten, the game began! Following the clues given, we hurried to the 1st check point, which was somewhere near DK1,2,3 and 4! Then, we were asked to play a game with another group! They haven’t arrived yet and so we started the game without them! In total, we were required to play 8 games in 8 different stations! In each game, we have to compete with another group! Each group was given 10 tokens and those who have lost must give theirs to the winners! Thus, the group that has the most number of tokens is the champion!

We were SO lucky on that day! 70 tokens were collected through out the game! YES! We were the 2nd runner up amount 50 groups! Woo~Hooo~!!!! Oh~yeah! Well… of cause Presentssss!!!! Chocolatessssss! “koropok”! drinkssss! Cloud nine! And this….and that…! AND the best of the best part is that I get to make more friends …they are nice people! That was my happiest day ever!!!!

風林火山 Fūrinkazan "Wind, Forest, Fire and Mountain",

其疾如風 ( be as swift as the wind)

侵掠如火 (attack as fiercely as the fire)

其徐如林 ( be a quiet as the forest)

不動如山 ( be immovable like the mountain)

“故其疾如風，其徐如林“ Let your rapidity be that of the wind, your compactness that of the forest.

“侵掠如火，不動如山“ In raiding and plundering be like fire, be immovable like a mountain.

風林火山の陣旗の始祖は武田信玄ではない。実際は風林火山の旗印は信玄よりも200年早く、南北朝時代の若き公卿武将で鎮守府将軍であった北畠顕家が、京を制圧した足利尊氏を打倒するために陸奥多賀国府で兵を挙げた時から使用していた陣旗であった。

北畠顕家は平安時代後期から鎌倉時代後期まで活躍した村上源氏を始祖としており、学識も深く、孫子に深く傾倒していたと思われる。北畠顕家はこの風林火山の旗印を立てて奮戦し、一度は足利尊氏をあわや自害のところまで追い込んだのである。

北畠顕家は南北朝を経て戦国期には、「太平記」や「梅松論」、父の北畠親房が記した「神皇正統記」などの書物によって名将として親しまれ、したがって信玄も北畠顕家の風林火山の陣旗を参考に陣旗を作ったと考えられるのである。

また、信玄は信仰する諏訪明神の加護を信じてを本陣旗としている。

この話は武田信玄の逸話として有名なものであり、そのためか風林火山を題材とした作品や、名前を引用したものが多く存在する。
